Eco Church

St Pancras have gained a bronze entry level award with A Rocha, an international voluntary organisation that encourages churches to be sustainable and good stewards of the environment.
We are working towards being able to submit for a silver level accreditation.

During 2024 we have:

Carried out a carbon footprint audit with our congregation and obtained feedback from church members about the changes they are planning to make.

Started to participate in specialist Diocesan Environmental activities.

This has included increasing our awareness of alternative forms of energy and heating used by other churches

We have returned an audit of our energy use to the Diocesan Environmental officer.

(The next Diocesan Environmental Action day will be on February 1st, 2025)

Organised a litter pick in our parish and removed a large quantity of litter.
